In the event of any postponements on the scheduled nights, the spraying activities will be rescheduled for the subsequent week.
The mosquito management substance in use is Zenivex E4 (EPA Registration Number 2724.807), applied at a rate of 1 ounce per acre. Zenivex E4 belongs to the category of non-ester pyrethroids and has been categorized by the EPA as a pesticide with reduced risk. The application of Zenivex E4 for mosquito control poses minimal threat to individuals or their pets due to its low toxicity and the small quantity required for mosquito management. As with any pesticide, individuals are advised to limit their exposure. Should residents observe an approaching spray truck, it is recommended that they move indoors briefly to allow the spray to disperse. Residents are also encouraged to close windows during spraying. Beekeepers are not required to take special precautions as spraying takes place after dusk. Zenivex E4 naturally decomposes quickly and does not accumulate in the environment.
